Stainless Steel 347H Tubing is an austenitic alloy that contains about 17–19% chromium and 9–13% nickel, along with a touch of niobium and tantalum to prevent carbide precipitation. The carbon content is carefully regulated (around 0.04–0.10%) to ensure high-temperature strength. Its mechanical properties include a tensile strength ranging from 515–620 MPa, yield strength between 205–275 MPa, and an elongation of about 40%, which guarantees structural integrity during thermal cycling. The alloy’s unique composition provides outstanding resistance to oxidation, intergranular corrosion, and scaling, making it ideal for extended use at elevated temperatures in boilers, superheaters, and heat transfer systems.
